Stephen Colbert desperately desires an replace on the investigation into possible ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential marketing campaign.

So for Friday’s broadcast of “The Late Present,” the comic visited Washington, D.C., to see if he might tease any new data out of congressmen.

With a pretend memo of his personal in hand, Colbert tried to steer Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) to leak new developments to him relating to the Trump-Russia probe.

“Simply say something. Give me a touch, something,” Colbert at one level pleaded with Warner.

“Simply blink it out in Morse code. Inform me something, don’t you perceive?” he added. “We’re dying out right here. We’re drowning in ignorance. Inform us what occurred. You’ll inform us finally, proper? You’ll inform us one thing?”

Learn the way he fared within the full clip above.
