Atletico Madrid President Describes the Barcelona Star as ‘One of the Best Players in Europe’

Joao Felix joined Atletico Madrid for a record fee from Benfica. But his time at Atletico Madrid was not a pleasant one. But after joining FC Barcelona on loan, it seems Felix has finally found his rhythm.

Arriving at the Catalan club on the deadline day, Felix became an important part of Xavi’s system. He is the same Joao Felix who has never fit into Diego Simeone’s system but fits seamlessly into the Barca-style play within a few days.

Felix also admitted the fact in a press conference that he feels very comfortable in Barcelona. He praised Barcelona and said in this team, everyone understands their role and knows how to play. Felix also clarified that he comfortably fits into Barcelona’s system it doesn’t mean Atletico is bad, he just feels more comfortable at Barcelona.

Los Colchoneros’ President Enrique Cerezo has responded to the comment made by the on-loan player. Cerezo stated that he feels happy to see the 23-year-old Portuguese International flourishing in Barcelona. But the president also reminded Felix that he is still an Atletico Madrid player.

Cerezo added that Felix has the right to say whatever he wants. He believes that Felix has the potential to be one of the best and currently, Felix is ‘One of the Best Players’ in Europe.

When Cerezo was asked why Joao didn’t click at Atletico Madrid, he said that he didn’t want to go into technical things but as the club president he wants Joao to be one of the best players in the world.
