Famous Director Once Said Chris Evans Was A Terrible Actor

Captain America, Chris Evans revealed that one of the most famous directors in Hollywood described him as a terrible and vacant actor.

Chris Evans is famous for his role as Steve Rogers or Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Before signing for that role, Chris Evans was a quiet struggling actor.

Before that, Chris has starred in Fox Fantastic Four movies as Johnny Storm, AKA the Human Torch. He also gave voice to Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2007).

According to a recent interview with GQ, Chris revealed that he was cast as one of Scott Pillgrim’s League of Evil Exes. He was chosen for the role because Edgar Wright felt that Chris was really a bad actor who rated himself smarter than he actually was.

Chris portrayed the role of Lucas Lee in the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, who thinks himself very smart but in reality, he is terrible. The director informed him that Evans’ character suits Lucas Lee.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is considered one of the pioneers of comic book adaptation, but it flopped at the box office despite having a stacked star cast. Since then the film has reclaimed its position in movie lovers’ hearts for its visual effects.
