Lionel Messi reacted to his substitution on Thursday after the win against another South American team Ecuador by 1-0 in the World Cup qualifier.
The Argentinian skipper was substituted by Lionel Scaloni in the 89th minute, 11 minutes after he scored a stunning freekick.
Messi scored another free-kick goal for his nation from the edge of the box to complete his 104th goal for the National Team.
With this goal, Messi becomes the joint top scorer alongside his best friend Luis Suarez to score the highest (29) goals in the World Cup qualifier from the CONMEBOL region.
The all-time top scorer of Barcelona was substituted by Exequiel Palacios, the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder in the final minutes of the match.

Citing fatigue as one of the reasons, Messi stated “I came out because I was a bit tired. It’s probably not the last time that will happen. It’s all good, I’m fine.”
The 36-year-old legend is not getting younger, instead, he has to deal with a lot of expectations in MLS as many celebrities just come to see the living legend.
Argentina will face Bolivia in their next match on Tuesday, 12 September at Estadio Hernando Siles, Bolivia. Playing in Bolivia is not an easy task for Argentina due to the elevation of the country from sea level.
