Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins in January 2024.
Chelsea has already strengthened their side by adding names like Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkuku. There is a potential rumor that the Blues will sign Club Brugge striker Antonio Nusa.
The Blues already have a good transfer window in summer where they also signed midfielders like Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. But unfortunately, the team is not performing well in the Premier League.
However, Chelsea received a setback when Christopher Nkuku suffered a knee injury in the pre-season, and that hindered his debut for the France National Team.
Jackson, Pochettino’s dark horse, had a very hard time finding consistency in the opening week. However, in a 3-0 win against Luton Town, the newcomer found the net.
The 21-year-old Albanian striker Armando Broja is finding his form after sustaining a long injury.
Now, Chelsea is searching for a young and proven striker, especially in the English Premier League.
In such a situation, Ollie Watkins perfectly fits in the puzzle. The 27-year-old striker has 2 years left in his contract with Aston Villa.
Although Watkins is still searching for a goal in the Premier League, he already netted a hattrick against Hibernian in the first leg of Villa’s Europa Conference League qualifying.
Since Joining the Villa in 2020, Ollie has scored 46 goals in 122 appearances with 15 assists on his name.

Chelsea is also keeping an eye on Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus and Jonathan David from French club Lille. According to some reports, Pochettino is also interested in Brentford’s striker Ivan Toney as well.
