Barcelona is scheduled to play against US Club America in Dallas on December 21, only a day after the last La Liga game of the year against Almeria.
The La Liga giant has decided to play against Club America shortly after they finished their task against another La Liga competitor, Almeria, having little to no time for rest or recovery.
Four months ago, FC Barcelona played in Dallas against their arch-rival Real Madrid and won the match by 3-0. According to Sport, a percentage of the revenue will be donated to Hurricane Otis-affected Mexico. Hurricane Otis hit Mexico and the West Coast of the USA a few weeks ago.
This is the second time Barcelona has announced a fixture with a quick turnaround within a span of a year. Prior to this, Barcelona had already traveled to Japan to play against Vissel Kobe (June 6) just two days after the final contest of their 2022-23 title-winning season. It is expected that most of the big names won’t be a part of the game against Club America.
