It is rumored FC Barcelona is preparing a move for the Manchester City star Erling Haaland. The playing style of Manchester City under Pep Guardiola is similar to the system of FC Barcelona.
However, Barcelona in the summer window already signed two players from the treble winner English giant club, Joao Cancelo (on loan) and Ilkay Gundogan. Now, the Spanish giant is aiming to land more Cityzens in Catalonia.
Erling Haaland Rumors:
According to 90 min, Barcelona is preparing a stunning offer for the 23-year-old Norwegian striker in the next summer. It is reported that Haaland has a release clause of £150million that will come into effect in 2025. According to various media outlets, Barcelona is interested in activating the clause.
However, the current financial condition of FC Barcelona is not good enough even to dream about Erling Haaland. But there is a hope within a year things will change and Barcelona can manage its finances for marquee signings.
Barcelona’s first-choice striker Robert Lewandowski is getting old and his form is declining. After terminating his contract, Barcelona will have the space to sign a big-profile striker. On the contrary, Vitor Roque will be present as a replacement for Lewandosky. It will be very interesting to see if Barcelona goes for Haaland or if Vitor Roque becomes the first-choice striker for them.
It is also rumored that if the Kylian Mbappe deal doesn’t happen then Real Madrid will definitely go for the Manchester City star. Worth mentioning, Real Madrid already has enough money for a marquee signing like Erling Braut Haaland.
Bernardo Silva and Dani Olmo is linked to Barcelona:
Barcelona has been interested in another Manchester City player, Bernardo Silva for a long time. The Spanish king tried to sign the Portuguese star this summer but the deal failed.
The 29-year-old Portuguese signed a new one-year extension with Manchester City and his release clause mentioned in the contract is £50million. According to Mundo Deportivo, the new deal will be more favorable to FC Barcelona is signing Bernardo Silva.
Spanish left winger, Dani Olmo, who is currently playing at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig is also interested in joining FC Barcelona. Dani Olmo is a 25-year-old versatile player who can play as a left winger, attacking midfielder, false number 9, and as a right winger as well. He also signed a one-year extension deal with RB Leipzig and his deal has £51.6million release clause.
It is possible that if Barcelona improves its financial condition by next summer, then one of them will definitely join FC Barcelona, especially Dani Olmo. Barcelona will definitely need a proper left winger after the expiry of Joao Felix’s loan.
