Mortal Kombat 1’s Steam page removed crossplay as a launching feature

The mention of crossplay as a feature is now removed from Mortal Combat 1’s Steam page. Now the page only consists of single-player, online pvp, Steam achievements, full controller support, and in-app purchases as features.

Similarly, crossplay has been removed from the FAQ page of Mortal Kombat as well. This may indicate that crossplay may not be available to launch Steam’s store pages. It seems like the inclusion of crossplay in MK1’s Steam page was a mistake initially.

Who handles Mortal Kombat 1?

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox series version of Mortal Kombat is handled by NetherRealm Studios. Whereas, Steam and Epic Games Store ports of the game are being handled by QLOC under the supervision of NetherRealm.

Crossplay may not be available at initial days but the craze for crossplay is insane. It can be speculated that in a later patch, Crossplay will added to the store.

Earlier, the Official Steam page for MK1 added crossplay as one of the main features. But later the FAQ page was deleted which mentioned the crossplay.

The situation will be more clear with the launch of Mortal Kombat 1’s launch on September 19, 2023.
