Fans Are Disappointed Over Sex Education Season 4

Sex Education Season 4 recently got a disappointing update as many characters from the previous season will get very tiny roles in the new season. Asa Butterfield and Emma Mackey will be the leading cast of the highly awaited Netflix series.

At the end of the 3rd season, Moordale Secondary School was shut down as it lost support from its investors. This means the students have to find a new school and it’ll bring new characters to the show.

As per a report from The Guardian, many main characters from the past three seasons will have less screen time in season 4 as it will bring new characters. The new season will shift its focus to new characters like Cal Bowman, Abbi, Roman, and Aisha.

The group of students was described by no gossip mandate that surprised the previous characters like Eric.

Why the Season 4 seem to be disappointing?

It is reported that the new update that was stated above already caused disappointment to the show’s core and loyal fanbase. Fans have described their demands online that the final season should be focused on finishing the existing group’s story in a satisfying way. Many fans even expressed their grievances by saying after hearing the new update, they are not interested in the new season anymore.

It is also rumored now that the core characters like Otis, Maeve, Eric, Dr. Jean, and others will have very little interaction in this season as they’ll have their own journeys of conflict and self-discovery. Eric will find a new set of friends, Maeve will be in the U.S.A. for studies, Jean is suffering from postpartum depression and Otis is no longer connected to his old friends.

Is Sex Education Season 4 worth watching?

It is very hard to say. The dynamic chemistry between the core characters from the previous seasons and their relationship was one of the main reasons for making the show popular. However, reducing the core character’s screen time and interaction will definitely affect the chemistry between them.

Introducing new characters is normal but without finishing the existing core story of the show in a satisfying way and allowing the core characters to stay away from the main storyline will definitely harm the popularity of the show unless the story is exceptionally good.

Season 4 of Sex Education will be streaming on Netflix on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
