Bobbi and a drugstore chemist invented a line of ten lipsticks on beige pigment that created a sensation in the beauty industry. In 1991, Bobbi and her husband Steven Plofker launched the brand “Bobbi Brown Essentials”, which debuted at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. However, four years later Estée Lauder purchased the company but Bobbi Brown was kept as one of the employees of the company. In October 2016, Brown decided to step down from the company despite the company playing a very important role in her success and popularity.
