Former Netharland Coach Louis Van Gaal has claimed that the FIFA World Cup 2022 was premeditated for Argentina and Lionel Messi.
He complained that players of the Argentinian side were crossing the line while taking penalties but they weren’t penalized.
Argentina was 1-0 up against Netherlands till 72 minutes. When the referee offered Argentina a penalty, several players of Argentina crossed the line while taking penalties, according to Van Gaal.
In the last 10 minutes, Wout Weghrost scored two goals and gave the Netherlands a dramatic comeback. Then the match went to extra time and no goals were scored.
Argentina’s side pulled off victory with the brilliance of Emi Martinez, despite Enzo Fernandez missing a penalty.
The former Barcelona coach claimed that the World Cup might have been rigged to help Messi win his dream trophy.
He interviewed the NOS, “ “I don’t really want to say much about it. If you see how Argentina gets the goals how we get the goals and how some of Argentina’s players crossed the line and weren’t punished, then I think it’s all a preconceived game. I mean everything I say by that. That Messi had to become world champion? I think so, yes.”
