It is no secret, after Karim Benzema’s departure to Al-Ittihad, Real Madrid is desperate for a striker to fill the gap. Instead of replacing the second top-scorer in Los Blancos history with a young world-class talent, Madrid has signed 33-year-old striker Joselu on loan.
Joselu has done an awe-inspiring job for Real Madrid, whenever he got the opportunity under Carlo Ancelotti. Especially, after Vini Jr’s injury, the role of Joselu becomes more critical. But Joselu is probably not the suitable option for Los Blancos if they need to compete in all three competitions and also he is not a long-term solution for Real Madrid.
During the summer transfer window, Real was heavily linked to Kylian Mbappe to fill the gap but seems now the deal is impossible. Apart from Mbappe, it is rumored that Madrid is constantly linked with Juventus’ striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The 23-year-old Serbian striker struggled last season under Allegri’s system but this season, Vlahovic has received a blistering start in Serie A. This season, Vlahovic has already registered 4 goals and one assist in five appearances in Seri A so far.
It is obvious, along with Real Madrid, other European Giants including top English Premier League clubs will show interest in Vlahovic.
If we talk about signing a new player, Chelsea’s name comes first. They will offer €60 million for the Serie A star, according to Fichajes.
According to some sources, Chelsea wanted to sign Vlahovic last summer but his form in the previous season had changed the mind of the club. If Dusan Vlahovic continues this form till January, it’ll be no surprise we will witness a competition between Chelsea and Real Madrid.
